The Lady Bulldogs huddle up in an early season match vs. Porter.

The Lady Bulldogs Volleyball team plays their first District 21-5A match at home on Tuesday September 13 when College Station makes a visit to the Magnolia gym. The Bulldogs finished the early-season, non-district portion of their schedule with a 15-6 record, before they dropped their district opener at Brenham this past Friday.

“I am looking forward to getting into district matches because I know our team has amazing potential. We are going to do great things against some outstanding competition,” said junior Outside Hitter Chloe Richards. The team hopes to continue using the momentum they gained from some high-pressure, pre-season tournament play to power into districts.

“We play with some very good 21-5A teams, but we have the best group of girls and I can not wait to see what they can accomplish playing together,” Head Coach Brooke Neel said. “I’m very happy with how the pre-season has gone so far and the girls are working hard everyday to reach their goals. I hope everyone gets a chance to come out and see us in action.”

The JV and Freshman A teams play at 5:00, while Varsity and Freshman B games begin immediately following those matches, around 6 pm. The theme for the night calls for fans to wear their favorite pro, college or team jersey.
